Beschreibung:

1,588 miles from new 1989 FERRARI 328 GTS Registration No. G644 CPE Chassis No. 79938 Engine No. 16382 Rosso Corsa with cream leather interior Engine: V8, twin overhead camshafts, 3,185cc, 270bhp at 7,000rpm; Gearbox: five speed manual; Suspension: fully independent by double wishbones and coil springs; Steering: rack and pinion; Brakes: four-wheel disc with ABS. Right hand drive. After the success and longevity of the 308 GTB/GTS, the 328 had a tough act to follow but it proved to be a resounding success and to many there has not been a better eight cylinder Ferrari since. The familiar body style was distinctly revised by Pininfarina and the only visual change throughout the model's production life was in late 1988 when ABS became standard and thus a new convex five spoke alloy wheel design was employed. Production ended gracefully in late 1989 when production for the model had totalled over 7,000 units. Specified in the popular combination of Rosso Corsa with cream leather and brown carpets this desirable, ABS model 328 GTS is as new. Confirmed by the plaque in the engine compartment, this 328 GTS was originally intended for the Australian market. The service book confirms that the first owner was a Simeon Nicholas who purchased the car from Australian main agent Prestige Car Sales. Given the huge demand for these at the time, it was almost instantly purchased by its second owner and brought to the UK where it was first registered in September 1989. The third and current owner purchased the car a short time after. Only 1,558 miles are displayed on the odometer and apart from some very minor pin dents on the passenger door the condition is understandably without fault. If one wanted to experience the feeling of owning a brand-new Ferrari 328 GTS, albeit belatedly, then this is an ideal and unrepeatable opportunity and should not be overlooked.
