A Meissen porcelain clock case and stand, circa 1760 of gilt-edged scrolling form, the case surmounted with the figure of Ceres holding a basket of flowers, to the side is a putto above the winged head of Father Time, supported on a similarly formed pedestal base painted with a scene of putti among clouds, a further putti sits at the side of the base, encrusted with flowering branches, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, set with a contemporary watch movement, Arlander Dobson, London, 43.2cm., 17in. high
